Jessie Payo

Jessie is a Denver born, California raised singer and songwriter known for her sultry voice, dynamic performances and poetic songwriting. She cut her teeth in the Los Angeles blues scene with her band Jessie and the Raindogs before heading to Berklee College of Music for songwriting. Returning to LA she toured and opened for acts such as Etta James, Lauryn Hill, Jason Mraz, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Sly and the Family Stone, Tuxedo and Eric Hutchinson. It was when she was recording her first solo EP at Nashville’s Starstruck Studios that she discovered her love for Americana. Her songs have been featured in film and television and she regularly performs at prominent venues throughout California from the Troubadour and El Rey in Los Angeles to the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco.
